Strode College’s recent annual Strodelive Christmas concert, held in Strode Theatre, was a fantastic showcase of musical talent and teamwork.
This year, Level Three Extended Diploma Music students were joined by students from the new Single Award in Music course, as well as participants from across the college taking part through enrichment programmes.
With over seventy performers on stage, the concert featured a vibrant mix of music from ’65 to ’85, including both timeless classics and a few original pieces. The audience was captivated as students delivered memorable solos and lively ensemble performances, each reflecting the dedication and passion built up over months of rehearsal.
Behind the scenes, students also demonstrated impressive skills in production and management. They coordinated lighting, sound, and stage operations, ensuring each performance ran smoothly. Their hard work was key to bringing the show together and provided invaluable hands-on experience in a professional theatre setting.
Strodelive is going from strength to strength. Strode Theatre is a fantastic professional theatre which is at the heart of the local community, and it is a privilege for students to have the experience of working and performing in a professional way through its use.
