Assesment Methods
All units on this course are assessed internally and there are no external exams or tests. We use a range of assessment methods, including practical activities, tutor observations, written reports, and verbal or video presentations.
You will keep an online journal to document the process and the development of your project work. You will be monitored as you work and given regular feedback and guidance.
Progression Options
At the end of the year, you will have gained a Level 2 qualification that can take you into many different Level 3 courses at college (we ask that you have gained a Merit grade to move up to L3 Media). You will also have started a journey into the world of media and the employment possibilities this opens to you.
Most students progress on to our Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production course or will be supported in looking for apprenticeship opportunities. Completing a Level 3 Extended Diploma is a good choice for those looking to move on to a HND or university.

Our accommodation is staffed 24/7 and there is always support to be found in the Residential Office. Residential students will be made aware of where and how to find staff for maintenance, wellbeing, financial, and any other concerns they may have.

Activities are run everyday and there is a team of activity officers that run these. These activities may be on-site or off-site, and they cater to a variety of interests.
