A combination of classroom-based and on the job experiences will give you a real taste of what the education and early years industry is all about, and equip you with the underpinning skills and knowledge that you need to further your career into employment or on to further education.

The course covers an age range of 0-19 years. You will be expected to achieve between 450 and 750 hours of industry placement over the 2-year course programme.

In the second year, you will choose an occupational specialism (Early Years Education or Assisting Teaching) where you will focus on your career choice, whilst gaining further industry experience to broaden your knowledge, skills and behaviours to achieve competence in your specialism.

The course offers a variety of industry placements with qualified and experienced staff, who you can gain first-hand experience from. We are also lucky to have excellent relationships with a variety of outstanding industry placements for you to choose from.
