This course is an exciting opportunity to study advance hairdressing at Level 3 on completion of Level 2 whilst gaining experience within a professional hairdressing salon at college.

This qualification will enable you to enter the world of hairdressing as a stylist, work on a cruise ship, or progress onto university and study at a higher level. Your course will include a theory lesson, practical, and maths and English if you have not gained a grade 4 previously.

Alongside your qualification, you will complete work experience in the hairdressing industry.

  • Hairdressing theory
  • Hairdressing practical
  • Mathematics and English
  • Group Tutorial
  • 1:1 Tutorial.

Assesment Methods

You will study a combination of practical and theory lessons, with time spent in our specialist hairdressing salons. Your progress is assessed through practical observations and theory online exams throughout the year.

On finishing the course, you will be able work as a qualified stylist within a salon.

Progression Options

On successful completion of this course, you could start an exciting career as a stylist or progress onto university. Other opportunities include working on cruise ships, and becoming a hairdressing manufacture representative.

Entry Requirements

You need to have gained a hairdressing qualification at Level 2 and five GCSEs at grade 9-3, including maths and English.

Entry to the course is subject to a successful interview.
