Course Overview

This course is designed for anyone wishing to start an exciting career in the hairdressing industry. No previous experience is necessary.

Topics may include:

  • Shampooing and conditioning
  • Cutting
  • Styling
  • Colouring and perming.

Alongside this, you also learn the importance of health and safety, and working with clients and colleagues to provide professional hairdressing services.

Home study and full attendance is essential for successful completion of the course. A professional kit and uniform is also required for all practical salon work, the cost of this is included in the course fee.

Assessment Methods

Assessment will be in the form of graded practical assessments on clients in our professional hairdressing salon, alongside exams for each of the units.

Progression Options

You could progress to our Level 3 in Women’s Hairdressing, or onto an apprenticeship if preferred and you have found your own employer.

An interview is required for this course.
