Course Overview
The Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) is a nationally recognised qualification designed for adults who want to build a rewarding career in early years care and education. This flexible programme is delivered through dedicated one-to-one support from a specialist tutor, workplace observations, and high-quality learning materials, with no need for classroom attendance.
Learners can progress at a pace that suits their personal and family commitments while gaining the knowledge and practical skills required to meet the Early Years Educator standard. On successful completion, students achieve full Early Years Educator status, opening the door to roles in nurseries, preschools, and reception classes, or progression to higher-level study.
With funding available for adult learners (19+), this is an accessible, career-focused qualification that equips you with the skills and recognition needed to make a real difference in children’s early learning and development.

Assessment Methods
Assessment is through observation of practical skills in the workplace, and a portfolio of evidence.

The Student Experience Team can mentor and signpost students who are struggling with a range of issues that are negatively impacting their day-to-day life. The Student Experience Team works closely with the Safeguarding & Lifestyle Teams to promote proactive wellbeing enrichment sessions. The team can refer on to counselling when appropriate.
