Life Drawing with Lucy offers a chance to feel confident about capturing the dynamic human form through a variety of traditional and creative mark-making techniques. Each week begins with a related warm-up activity, and throughout the course, you will explore expressive approaches, develop your observational skills, and learn effective methods for capturing gesture and proportion.

This course is open to all levels of drawing experience and provides an excellent opportunity to create work for a portfolio, artwork for your wall, get creative, build confidence and socialise in a supportive environment.

Participating in this course can boost your wellbeing by providing a calming, mindful focus and a space to express yourself creatively. It builds confidence through skill development, experimentation, and positive feedback. For those interested in creative careers or expanding their artistic practice, the course enhances employability by strengthening your drawing portfolio and demonstrating commitment to continuous learning and artistic growth.

We endeavour to draw a variety of male and female models throughout the course, and a selection of materials is always available. You are welcome to follow Lucy’s guidance or simply come along and do your own thing.
